Because of the importance of this project, I did an extensive amount of research in developing a proposal, guidelines and script for the debate.
Most of my research came from information I gathered through the Commission on Presidential Debates. Utilizing the resources from the CPD, I had a starting point to begin developing the implementation and communication process that would need to take place.
I also used the commission's debate transcripts from 2008 to write the ASB Debates Format and Conduct Guidelines as well as the ASB Debates Script. Special attention was given to the structure of the U.S. Presidential Debate held at the University of Mississippi. This project was the perfect homage as this was the debate that inspired me to pursue this project.
